  Tom takes 2nd prize in the prestigious Dr. Sidney Lieberman Competition and is the first guitarist in the history of the event to be recognized. He is awarded an $800 cash prize.

March, 2005.
  Tom completes his M.M. studies at Towson University. Throughout his two years at the school, he is the recipient of several scholarships.

June, 2005.
  Tom accepts a position at Univeristy of Maryland at Baltimore. Beginning in the Fall of '05, he will instruct the jazz guitar students at the University.

July, 2005.
  Tom receives an endorsement deal with Taylor Guitars.  Tom also holds endorsements with Thomastik/Infeld Strings and VHT Amplification.

August, 2005.
  The first part of the Pat Metheny article is published in Just Jazz Guitar Magazine. Go to www.justjazzguitar.com to order the issue.
